Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio:
Dr. Berg, 51 years of age is a chiropractor who specializes in weight loss through nutritional and natural methods. His private practice is located in Alexandria, Virginia. His clients include senior officials in the U.S. government and the Justice Department, ambassadors, medical doctors, high-level executives of prominent corporations, scientists, engineers, professors, and other clients from all walks of life. He is the author of The 7 Principles of Fat Burning, published by KB Publishing in January 2011. Dr. Berg trains chiropractors, physicians and allied healthcare practitioners in his methods, and to date he has trained over 2,500 healthcare professionals. He has been an active member of the Endocrinology Society, and has worked as a past part-time adjunct professor at Howard University.

  3. in terms of a ketogenic diet, what are your tips for someone who is a type 1 diabetic? I've seen a lot of people saying that it's dangerous for type 1's specifically because it can trigger ketoacidosis in them if they're not careful. I've been following a keto diet for a short while and I'd like to include my boyfriend on my plan, but I'm a bit scared since he is a type 1 diabetic and his needs are slightly different than mine.

  4. Adding to point #1 ketones are also the fuel we are born running on. A mother produces ketones for her baby, and her baby is in ketosis until she starts feeding it carbs (i.e. rice cereal).

  5. Fat is not the original fuel ? The body stores fat for the case of deprivation, fruits and vegetables are seasonal and yes, it stores a very efficient fuel. Fructose from fruits is all humans, humanoids and apes original fuel. The storing of fat and the ketosis are an adaptation for ice age periods, for example. Our survival needed this.   8. I do agree that the keto diet is good for fat people, but for skinny people like me who just want to be healthy, strong and live a longer and healthier live, the Vegan diet is the best way to go I think.
    But yeah, just for losing weight I think the keto diet is better.

  9. Can you give me a keto-diet for someone like me? 45 yo, I do 30 min of cardio 3 times a week and lift weights 3 times a week. 1 day of resting. I know I need to eat more carbs but which is the best approach?

  10. What you think about targeted ketogenic diet (tkd)? Is there any benefit of eating carbs before workout as many are saying? I have lost some strenght when I am on ckd.

  11. I went from an uncontrolled addiction to sugar to being repulsed by sugar because of the ketogenic diet. From chronic brain fog to clarity. From no energy to bouncing out of bed in the mornings! I can no longer hear the critics of this diet because I KNOW what it has done to me! Put my type 2 diabetic, Dimensia mother on this diet. Her diabetes has disappeared and the light of her memory has come back! There were some wonderful doctors that help along the way. My mother before and my mother after keto is s medically documented event!
